A Peek at What's Coming!
THURSDAY, AUGUST 06, 2015
Hello Members and friends. “Baby it’s hot outside” has never been truer in the desert Southwest so to ignore the heat, I’ve been turning my thoughts to the fall months ahead as I order new items for the fall holiday. Be sure to check out the new products coming because they are really fun (especially the Halloween stamps and dies)! Here are links to the pages in our What’s New section that I have recently updated:
Brand New and Coming Soon – Tons of dies and stamps that are on order but expected soon
Fall – Check out the cute Starbucks stamp!
Halloween – The new Halloween papers are really awesome!
Dies – Who doesn’t need more dies???
I have also updated the Gallery with new sample cards – here are the links:
One card I am featuring today is designed by Harriet Head, a dear friend and customer for many years. When Harriet showed me this card I knew I wanted to make one and share it with you. Thanks, Harriet!
Shopping Cart Birthday – Paper Smooches die Grocery Cart; Memory Box die Abundant Gifts; Lawn Fawn die Happy Birthday to you; Taylored Expressions die Up, Up and Away (balloons); Penny Black Balloons; Doodlebug paper pad Hello Sunshine; design inspired by Harriet Head.
I posted this same card recently, but I thought these papers really popped the numbres die that I wanted to share it again. Quick easy birthday card for all ages!
TIP: Use a white gel pen to give the numbers some personality!
By The Numbers – Penny Black die By the Numbers; Penny Black clear stamp set friendship; Spellbinders die Circles; Memory Box Stitched Rectangles; Uniball white gel pen; design inspired by Judy Jung
Stretch your dies by using the same ones with different treatments and embellishments.
Claudette Oval Frame 1 – Poppy dies Claudette Oval Frame and Meadow Clover; Avery Elle die Dotted Borders (corners); Poppy clear stamp set Hope and Thanks
For the next 2 cards I used this die set called the Memory Box Distressed Windham Collage. Each of these dies cuts a unique opening the front of the card.
Distressed Windham Collage 1 – Memory Box dies Distressed Windham Collage and Sunrise Poppy; Poppy clear stamp set Hope and Thanks; Memory Box Stitched Rectangles; design inspired by Jean Okimoto
TIP: For the opening in the card I cut the die twice; first in the upper right corner then rotating it 180 degrees and positioning it in the lower left corner. I actually used the same technique in the card below but with another of the dies on a smaller scale.
Distressed Windham Collage 2 – Memory Box dies Distressed Windham Collage, Row of Poppies and Mini Heart Collection; Penny Black die Love and Joy
This similiar die is coming for Christmas. It's called Distressed Holiday Collage. Check out the trees, ornaments and snowflakes -- it will make stunning cards.
While there are a lot of new things coming, there's also a lot in store right now so please stop in soon and shop. I look forward to seeing you soon.
