i want an affair blog.rewardsrunner.com women cheat on men
Hello Members and Friends. I am sorry you didn't see this blog a week ago, but our recent rains completely wiped out my Internet connection for a few days preventing me from posting. I hope your Halloween was pleasant; mine was fun until someone rang the doorbell at 10pm -- ugh!
These are treat bags I gave to friends; once the candy was eaten they can insert a flameless tea light which turns the treat bag into a night light or luminaria. The kids -- big and small-- loved them! I used My Favorite Things Paper Bag die and Taylored Expressions You've Been Framed Halloween die. Cut the front of the paper bag with the frame die then tape or glue vellum behind the rectangular opening. Glue the frame, cut from a contrasting cardstock, to the vellum. Easy and fun! These will be perfect for Christmas treat bags too!
Speaking of Halloween -- remember that all our Halloween products are on sale 30% off so come on in and get some bargains.
Masculine Birthday Cards
No matter how many birthday cards we have in our stash, it seems we always need more masculine cards. This Saturday you can stock up on cards especially designed for the men in your life. Click here for more information on Male Birthday Cards Class. Here are some samples of what we will be making.
Hexalongs – Paper Smooches die Hexalongs; Taylored Expressions dies Frame in Frame and Fine Feathers; TE embossing Folder brick; Hero Arts sentiment stamp; design inspired by Amy Sheffer
This cool card incorporates many techniques including watercoloring and smooshing with Distress inks; embossing; and stamping and embossing on vellum.
Happy Birthday – Memory Box dies Blooming Happy Birthday and Sketchy Rings
I love this Sketchy Rings die for both backgrounds and foregrounds (see below). It adds a lot of motion to the card and is definitely masculine in its lines.
For the Happy Birthday words, I cut off some of the flowers to make it less feminine.
Eat Cake – Poppy die Happy Birthday Background; Taylored Expressions die Tag Stacklets 1; Memory Box die Tiffany Cake; Little B die Sentiments
Don't forget that dies make perfect backgrounds -- just emboss them into the background paper using the rubber tan mat in your embossing sandwich. I embossed the Poppy die Happy Birthday Background into the kraft cardstock.
Adding a bronze brad and a little twine are good masculine touches.
By the Numbers – Penny Black die By the Numbers; Spellbinders die Classic Circles; sentiment My Favorite Things
I have made this card before in more feminine papers but look what happens if you choose more neutral papers. It's quick and easy and you'll have a lot of fun making these for your stash.
Hot Air Balloons – Taylored Expressions dies Sky High Hot Air Balloons and Cloud Border; Sentiment by Deadbeat Designs; design inspired by Shannon White
This card works for birthday for all ages and you can vary the sentiment to fit the age.
Party Hats – Memory Box die Sketchy Rings; Taylored Expressions die Little Bits Party Hat; sentiment Penny Black
Here I used the Sketchy Rings again and placed the cute party hats in the center. This is a good card for a young person -- male or female.
Other Cards I've been Making and Receiving
This card is stunning IRL because I stamped the Chaparral Stems (Memory Box) first in Tsukineko's Gold Shimmer Spritz then in Hero Arts Soft Olive. The photo does not pick up the glistening gold metallic -- stop in and see it for yourself!
I sponged on the background using Distress inks and added the birds after I stamped the stems.
Tip: Leave a little white space between the ground and the sky to make a realistic horizon line.
Chaparral Stems Card – Memory Box stamp Chaparral Stems; Impression Obsession die Flying Birds; Poppy clear stamp set Hope and Thanks; design inspired by Shelby Thomas
Too often we need sympathy cards and our mind goes blank on what to create. Here's a simple, clean design that could be used for many occasions. I embossed the new Taylored Expressions embossing folder "Prairie" then colored the design with Prismacolor pencils (white and sand). The sentiment was embossed in white.
Isn't this too cute? Felicity Straba sent me this card and she actually printed out a Starbuck's logo from their website for the coffee cup. How clever!
First Day of Fall – Memory Box die Coffee on the Go small; Riley & Co. stamp Starbucks Fall; Taylored Expressions die Little Bits leaves; design by Felicity Straba
Make It and Take It
Stop in the store anytime (except during classes, please) and make one of these cards for free.
Pumpkins in Window – Stamps by from Impression Obsession; Memory Box dies Pinpoint and Stitched Pumpkins
Christmas Carolers – Stamps and die by from Impression Obsession; Spellbinders die Classic Ovals
Have a great week and don't forget to check the class page. I will be adding other classes soon.
